Thank you

We appreciate you taking the time to complete the UniSA International Student Travel Survey. Further information regarding your travel situation and enrolment at the University is outlined below.

Students currently in mainland China

UniSA understands that because of the current border controls in place, students currently in mainland China are not able to travel to Australia. The University is looking at all available options to support students to commence or continue their studies, where possible, and will be in contact soon with further information.

Students currently not in Australia and not in mainland China

If you are currently outside of Australia or mainland China (providing you have not been in mainland China within the last 14 days) you should continue to make arrangements to arrive in Adelaide. This includes all students who are returning to study as well as new students who need to arrive to attend Orientation which commences on Monday, 24 February.

Students currently in Australia who have visited Hubei Province in the last 14 days or arrived from China on or after 1 February

If you are currently in Australia and have visited Hubei Province in the last 14 days or arrived from mainland China on or after 1 February 2020 you are required to self-isolate in Australia. A UniSA staff member will be in contact with you to provide support and extra information on self-isolation. Following the 14 day isolation period, continuing students can return to their studies and new students can attend Orientation which commences on Monday, 24 February.

Students currently in Australia who have returned from mainland China prior to 1 February and did not visit Hubei Province

If you have arrived in Australia from mainland China prior to 1 February 2020 (and did not visit Hubei Province; have not been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of coronavirus; and/or are not showing symptoms of coronavirus) you do not need to self-isolate in Australia. You should continue to make arrangements to return to your studies if you are a continuing student or, if you are a new student, you should attend Orientation which commences on Monday, 24 February.

Regardless of the travel situations outlined above, if you have concerns about your exposure to the novel coronavirus, it is important to call a doctor or health clinic. For students on campus in Adelaide, the University has medical clinics at City West and City East campuses. Please arrange an appointment at the UniSA medical clinics by calling 1300 172 996 or telephone your local health and medical clinic.

If you are experiencing further issues in addition to the above travel situations, please contact the University’s Student Engagement Unit for further support seu@unisa.edu.au.
